Prenatal Care in Calgary
Family medicine support during pregnancy and after birth, with prenatal follow-up, health monitoring, guidance, and coordinated referrals when appropriate.
Prenatal & Postnatal Care at Gilead Family Practice
Pregnancy and the weeks after birth can bring new questions, changing health needs, and important follow-up. Gilead Family Practice provides prenatal care in Calgary within a family medicine setting, with individualized assessment based on your stage of pregnancy, medical history, symptoms, and care plan.
After delivery, postnatal care can support recovery, medication review, emotional wellbeing, feeding-related concerns, contraception discussions, and other health needs that arise after birth.
When additional maternity, obstetrical, hospital, or specialist care is needed, your family physician can help coordinate appropriate referrals and follow-up. You can also learn more about our Women’s Health and Family Medicine services.

When Additional Maternity Care May Be Needed
Your family physician can assess your needs and help determine when additional maternity, obstetrical, hospital, or specialist care is appropriate.
Urgent symptoms during pregnancy or after birth should not wait for a routine appointment. Seek urgent or emergency medical care when needed.
